Selah Worship Arts

Featured in Season 1, Episode 5

Eric travels to Albania to spend time with Benny and Sam Xhako of Selah Worship Arts in the capital city of Tirana.  Benny and Sam share remarkable stories of God’s call upon their lives in the midst of a culture shaped by hundreds of years of oppression and the denial of God’s existence.  Having no church tradition, no church fathers, no mentors, and no Albanian worship music, Benny answered God’s call to equip the church in Albania through his training as a musician and pastor.  It’s an inspiring story of living by faith when resources are few and the path forward is quite uncertain.  His wife Irma, son Sam, and daughter Sibora serve and equip the church alongside Benny, leading conferences and worship events across the Balkans in addition to operating the worship arts school.  The episode concludes with the family singing a beautiful original song entitled “Këngë Bekimi” from the priestly blessing found in Numbers 6.

About Selah Worship Arts

Selah Worship Arts Ministry is a unique ministry based in Albania, serving the Balkan region by training worship teams and leading worship. We seek to make disciples (Matt 28:18-20) that worship in Spirit and Truth (Jn 4:21-24). We do this through a School of Worship, weekly training sessions, weekend seminars and conferences, an annual worship camp, and more.
